Turkey Hit Highest Export Volume in March 2018

In a speech during a symposium “International Exhibitions” organized by his ministry, Turkish Economy Minister Nihad Zibekji said that his country recorded the highest volume of exports in the history of the Republic of Turkey in March this year and added that Turkish exports are expected to reach 170 billion dollars by the end of 2018.


He pointed out that Turkey has succeeded in increasing its exports to various countries of the world during the past three months, the largest increase in exports was to African countries, with exports increasing by 22 percent during the period, also the Turkish exports to Asia increased by 20 percent and Europe by 17 percent over the same period.

According to data from the Turkish Statistics Agency, the value of Turkish exports during the first three months of this year amounted to 40 billion and 727 million dollars, with an increase of 10.4 percent over the same period last year.

New Record in Turkish Tourism Sector by 2018 Beginning

According to data released by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the number of tourists coming to Turkey in the first month of this year reached 1.5 million tourists, the highest number ever in this month compared to previous years.

Turkey Reopens its Doors to Foreigners in Lebanon

The Turkish embassy opened an office in Beirut on Monday to receive requests from foreigners, especially Syrians and Palestinians wishing to travel to Turkey, in the presence of the Turkish ambassador to Lebanon Mr. Çağatay Erciyes.

The office will examine the application of each foreigner provided that he/she is a legitimate resident in Lebanon, whatever his / her nationality, especially the Syrians and Palestinians, where now it is possible to grant them a visa to Turkey by setting a date through the Turkish Embassy on the Internet.


After receiving the appointment, the person should visit the Turkish office, accompanied by the required documents, and it should be replied within a week at the latest, whether approval or rejection.

The Director of the Turkish Office explained that this new office will relieve the pressure on the Turkish Embassy, where the office can receive 100 applications per day, study it quickly and respond to it, while the Turkish Embassy cannot receive more than 20 requests. In Turkey … Increased Demand for Apartments Purchase by Foreigners

The real estate sector in Turkey witnessed an increase in the purchase of apartments for foreigners since the beginning of this year until the end of last month compared to the same period last year.

The increased percentage reached 21.4%. The number of apartments bought by foreigners throughout Turkey during this period is 16 thousand and 549 apartments.

The number of apartments purchased by foreigners during the past month alone reached 2152 apartments, with an increase of 21.5 percent compared to the same month last year.

Iraqis ranked first in buying apartments last month, with 405 apartments purchase. The Saudis came second with 239 apartments.

Experts said the reasons for this demand are due to the security and stability in Turkey and the devaluation of the Turkish lira against the dollar.

Turkish Projects Entered the “AEC Excellence Awards 2017”


The Istanbul Metro and Tunnel Project and the Istanbul III Airport Project have entered the competition for the AEC Excellence Awards, one of the most prestigious international awards to be held in Las Vegas, USA.

The metro line (Kabataş-Mecidiyeköy-Mahmutbey) is 22.5 km long and consists of 19 stations, and 83% of the excavation has been completed and planned to be opened in 2019.

Istanbul’s third airport will be one of the world’s largest and most modern airports. It will provide services to 200 million passengers a year on completion. while the operation of the airport is expected to generate revenues of 22 billion euros in 25 years and will provide more than 100,000 jobs annually at the opening of its first phase.

Turkish Exports Hit a High Record in August

According to the Turkey Economy Minister, Turkey achieved the highest number of exports in August, reaching 13 billion and 287 dollars, up 12.36% from the previous year.

The total value of Turkish exports during the first eight months of this year reached 103 billion and 348 million dollars, an increase of 10.82 percent compared to the previous year.

The Turkish minister said that Turkey seeks to raise the growth rate in its economy to 4.4% by the end of this year.
